PS5 controller battery life

With all these new features, you might be wondering how long the controller lasts on a charge. Fortunately, the battery life is not bad. Sony claims five to six hours of use on one charge, which roughly matches the battery life of the DualShock 4 controller, and seems fair based on my usage.

Five to six hours should be sufficient for most users, especially those who have a dock or something to charge the controller when not in use. I only charge when necessary, but I have two controllers, mainly for multiplayer use. You can't play Android Games With Controller Support But it's also useful in single-player, as it means you can switch between controllers when they run out.

I recommend charging a dock as long as you're not using your PS5 or getting a second controller. It is useful, even if you don't play for five or six hours straight.

Conclusions

The DualSense controller is the best part of the PS5. The controller looks great, and technology like adaptive triggers and touch precision really enhance the overall experience. But there is a caveat: developers must use such technology, and this can be tricky for those developing for multiple platforms. We hope they are engaged.
